Le Grande Chateau Lowena
is the sister property to Le Petit Chateau Lowena and Le Chateau Lowena. Le Grande Chateau Lowena is located in the Lowena Drive Historic Landmark District. The street and the district are named after the Lowe family and the son, H.N. Lowe, who developed the unique ‘Chateauesque’ residential structures. Le Grande Chateau Lowena was built 1923 the 2nd of the three ‘Chateauesque’ buildings in the district.
The steeply pitched roofs, finals & battlements are noteworthy. This beautiful building exemplify’s the first importation of a European-derived style following the First World War: Chateauesque Architecture
